The Department of Agriculture in the Western Cape is committed to the total empowerment of all the people in the Agricultural home for all.

We place a very high premium on education and on emerging farmers says Cobus Dowry. In an effort to bring agriculture closer to the people, we are opening a third decentralised training facility in 18 months and this time in Oudtshoorn.

Premier Ebrahim Rasool will open the facility on Friday, 24 February 2006 at 10:00 at the Experimental farm of the Department of Agriculture in Oudtshoorn.
