13 December 2005
SOURCE: Department of Transport and Public Works (Provincial Government of the Western Cape)
The Department of Transport and Public Works has addressed accommodation shortfalls at GF Jooste hospital by extending the existing trauma unit and upgraded a waiting area. A new pharmacy and administration wing has been constructed, with the existing pharmacy being turned into an MRI scanning facility.

The Works health team was responsible for the architectural design and administration of the project which is valued at just over R8 million.

The team (pictured here from left to right) consists of Gerrit Kemp, Hein Grebe, Johan Olivier, David Dowling (Kwezi V3 Electrical Consultants), Austin Rodney, Tsepo Zikhali, Amelio Kannemeyer (Kwezi V3) and William Aphane.
