MEC Dowry to Address Conference on Alcohol and Substance Abuse in Rural Areas

The Minister for agriculture in the Western Cape Cobus Dowry will open a two day conference on Alcohol and substance abuse in the rural areas, tomorrow 11 June 2007 at Goudini Spa near Rawsonville. The Conference which will be attended by various NGO's, religious organisations, farm worker organisations and government departments will look at the causes and remedies for this massive problem that exists in the Western Cape.The conference, arranged by the program Farm Worker Development in the Department of Agriculture in the Western Cape, will start at 0900 on Monday 11 June 2007.
